Ocean History

The ocean has always been, and always will be. The waters themselves play surprisingly little role in modern history aside from providing fast travel routes and a constant source of missing persons. It has outlived every single civilization; certain schools of thought (particularly among the bleaker proponents of the Sevenfold Method) state that it is biding its time until it can swallow the land entirely.
